Corian - a wattlework of Corian
The lamp combines the aesthetics and functionality of the material Corian. Through the hard white material which appears hygienic and rigid, the braided part of the lamp gives the impression of a soft, flexible substance. The mesh is seamlessly connected to the base and seems to be as one piece.
The idea of weaving! A changing play of light and dark, suited to the properties of the material by an insertion of light. The vertical Corian bars are forming the "weft" and are bonded to the base. More Corian strips are inserted as braided "warp" on the vertical bars.
